have some bankruptcy questions

i will be filing chapter 7 in the next few weeks but i have some questions. my debt is mostly unpaid bills and judgements, no credit cards, and repossessions. my total debt is about $25000 or so.
1. my tax refunds: i am currently under a return audit for my 2004 state refund. (self employed with eic) my 2003 state wasn't filed and i know that i am due a refund from that as well. can i keep my refunds or will they be seized?
2. student loans: i will be enrolling soon in school and will be receiving financial aid through grants mostly but some loans as well. should i file before enrolling or after? i do not want to include my tuition at all. i'm going to school to make sure that i have a better future, one where i can pay my bills.
