I am open to creating a group that will explore more than one genre of writing, and in time hopefully produce something they haven't tried before. In other words, openminded people open to exploring their own writing as well as exposing their critical eye to works they might not normally indulge in. I'm looking to create a collaborative effort where emphasis is on improvement, at whatever level you are in, not a bitch fest. Art is so varied, inspiration most times coming from unexpected places, let's experiment together.
Now for the format, I am interested in starting a writing group that meets every two weeks on Thursday night. I am open to accepting any kind of writing style (poetry, fiction, novella, haiku, etc.) as long as you have an open mind to trying something new. We would preferably be meeting either, always at my house (in Astoria), or alternate homes since to share one's writing tends to be a personal process. I believe structure is important so there w
