The Museum of the Moving Image seeks a Visitor Services Associate to perform a variety of duties at the Museums Admissions Desk, and as needed in the Museums Store and Caf. The ideal candidate will possess a high standard of customer service, retail experience (including computerized point of sale), and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Reports to the Visitor Services Manager and assists in coordinating all front desk operations for the Museum. This is a part-time 16 to 20 hour per week position with weekend and evening hours required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up, operating and closing of the Admissions Desk according to established procedures
Orient visitors to programs and exhibitions, provide information and assistance, answer phones, process membership applications
Operate ticket dispensing machine, establish waitlist for sold out screenings, usher latecomers to the theater, check coats, bags, and umbrellas
