Hello, thanks for reading my post.
Last night I ran into an old neighbor and friend and asked them how their dog was doing. They explained to me that their son (who is just over 2) was alergic to Cody and they had to give him up. Two years ago they surrendered him to the Elmsford animal shelter and they stopped calling a year ago to find out if he was adopted because the news that he was still there was too upsetting.
I decided to call today to find out and I learned that Cody is still at the shelter. They said he is doing fine and is a great dog, but has been passed up because he is so large. He is a mixed breed, probably chow and sheltie. Cody has been there for 2 years and is only 3 years old. He was use to having lots of attention and lots of space to run. I feel so bad that he has spent the majority of his life in a cage and wanted to get the word out about him in case there is any interest. I know this dog and he is wonderful.
