This auction is for my amazing ’98 Yamaha YZF-R1. This bike is awesome! It is, as you can see, red and white, which was only offered for one year. There are not many red/whites around. I bought this bike about a month ago and need to sell it as I lost my job and just bought a new house. This bike is incredibly fast and it is in MINT condition. The bike has a ton of aftermarket parts. It has a full exhaust system, K&N Filter and crankcase breather, 520 Chain conversion with RK XW o’ring chain and VORTEX sprockets front and rear that are geared down roughly 10% from stock, Xenon headlights, Stainless Steel braided brake lines with Brembo Calipers and rotors, and Graves Motorsports clutch. The guy I bought the bike from had receipts from a professional motor rebuild which took place about 1500 miles ago. It runs amazing and sounds absolutely awesome. It is definitely the BADDEST bike around. It is nice to know you are ridding the fastest bike on the streets!!! With the modifications done to this bike it is faster than ANY production vehicle on the planet!!! It runs a quarter mile in about 9.3 seconds at 155MPH!!! The greatest thing about the R1 is that it is an insanely fast straight line bike but it also has the ability to corner like a 600 class bike. If you are thinking that an R1 is the bike you must have then you have found the right one. As I said the motor was recently gone through and the new RK race chain and Vortex sprockets have about 100miles on them. I also just replaced the back tire with a new Dunlop D208 which has about 25 miles on it. This bike is ready to RIP! I used to be a mechanic and I am very picky when purchasing used vehicles. I bought the bike because it is such a great ride and since I have had it I have only improved it. This bike has very low miles and it shows!!!
