If you paid less than that in Federal Income taxes last year, you are a net taker in our society, and higher-income tax payers are carrying the load for you.
Since the bottom 50% of tax payers pay less than 4% of Federal Income taxes, and most of them pay none -- and some even get paid by the Federal Government instead (the Earned Income Tax Credit recipients),why don't they contribute to society in some way? Shouldn't we all have some obligations as citizens?
This is so bogus. You are taking the total 2.6 trillion budget, which includes Social Security, medicare, disability, death benefits, and other items which get paid for out of PAYROLL, not INCOME taxes. Idiot.
