THE LOWER EAST SIDE HARM REDUCTION CENTER is a non-profit, community based organization which is one of New York City's 11 needle exchange programs; this comprehensive social service agency works with active drug users in an effort to reduce the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C. Services include: case management, syringe exchange, outreach, support groups, mental health counseling, medical care and referrals to drug treatment.

LESHRC is seeking a PAID volunteer/intern to assist with general office/administrative duties. Activists, students, community members, PWAs, formerly incarcerated people, and active users are encouraged to apply. Students CAN receive college credit.
Applicant MUST be computer literate, comfortable in a grassroots environment (that includes concentrating with loud music) and generally willing to support a progressive non-profit's daily operations. Flexible schedule. $200 per
