EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The Education Department develops and executes enrichment programs focused on environmental and life skills education, using New York City's parks as outdoor classrooms. Our after school programs are focused in Parks Department Recreation Centers. Our summer programs are focused in NYC parks.
Education Interns
City Parks Foundation's Education department seeks 3 interns who will assist our summer programs. The Education Intern's duties will include general teaching assistance and some program research. S/he will also assist in developing and implementing lesson plans and activities. Applicants must be available at least three days a week, from 9am-5pm and be willing to travel around the city. Applicants must enjoy nature, be open to non-traditional learning, flexible, and responsive to youth needs. School credit is available.
